Measurement Repeatability of Rail Wheel Loads Caused by Rolling Surface Damages
نویسندگان
چکیده
The repeatability of rail wheel damage measurements is considered in this study. authors investigated the measurement vertical force dependence on wheel-rolling surface nature and suggested ways to reach higher repeatability. To investigate impact repeatability, results measuring forces with different systems were compared first. Another critical issue was estimating deviation field for measured values. box whisker principles used. Different types (shapes) damages rolling stock operating conditions examined by tests. article presents determined authors, how depends speed stock.

A new solution method for wheel/rail rolling contact
To solve the problem of wheel/rail rolling contact of nonlinear steady-state curving, a three-dimensional transient finite element (FE) model is developed by the explicit software ANSYS/LS-DYNA. To improve the solving speed and efficiency, an explicit-explicit order solution method is put forward based on analysis of the features of implicit and explicit algorithm. The solution method was first...
متن کاملImpacts of Wheel–rail at Railway Turnouts
Investigation of vertical vibrations of a railway turnout is important in designing track components under moving loads of trains. In this paper, the turnout is simulated by a linear finite element model with modal damping. A section of the turnout has a length of 36 sleeper spans surrounding the crossing. Rails and sleepers are modeled with uniform Rayleigh-
Timoshenko beam elements. The ra...

متن کاملWear Enhancement of Wheel-Rail Interaction by Ultrasonic Nanocrystalline Surface Modification Technique
In this study, an ultrasonic nanocrystalline surface modification (UNSM) technique was applied to normal and heat-treated rails made of 60 kgK steel to enhance the wear resistance of the wheel-rail interaction. The hardness and compressive residual stress values of the untreated and UNSM-treated rails were measured by the Brinell hardness tester and X-ray diffraction technique, respectively. It...
متن کاملWheel-Rail Profile Condition Monitoring
Increased railway patronage worldwide is putting pressure on rolling stock and infrastructure to operate at higher capacity and with improved punctuality. Condition monitoring is seen as a contributing factor in enabling this and is highlighted here in the context of rolling stock being procured with high capacity data buses, multiple sensors and centralised control. This therefore leaves scope...
